We found the home of our dreams and closed two days ago. We could not have done it without Patty. Patty was the angel that we were looking for! We loved working with her!! She is even continuing to support us even after closing!
As first-time home buyers, we had no idea what we were doing. Though we were on the right track by actively monitoring the different home listing apps and going to open houses or scheduling home viewings–we were dead wrong! One day we were at this open house, and Patty was showing it–got talking to her and quickly realized we knew nothing and that she had so much energy, knowledge, and drove to help us find our home. We just knew we had to have her as our agent! We exchanged numbers and email addresses. The first thing she did was share a home buyers manual that she had personally curated that describes the home buying process step-by-step–basically “Home Buyers Manual for Dummies”–it is excellent! It’s the first time we understood the entire process.
Patty also has been in the real estate business for many years and knows the Bay Area like the back of her hand. Patty is well known by other agents in the Bay Area and I can’t stress the importance of that enough – that helps a lot!!! She has accumulated so many excellent contacts over the years and will share any of them with you if you need help. Patty shared her contacts for mortgage lenders, contractors, interior designers, architects, etc., with us–anything that you think you may need for your home she has a contact for–and she trusts and vouches for them. Her connections are super friendly and professional as well! It almost felt like if you name drop that “Patty Rogers” is your agent that you will immediately get this high-quality service and attention.
Despite all of what I have said so far, the best things about Patty are as follows:
1. She has an excellent understanding of what you are looking for, your taste, style, etc. She will find you the home you want! The home will have a certain modicum of charm that makes it stand out from the rest and will be an investment that you are extremely proud of that will only appreciate in value!
2. Her knowledge of real estate and the bay area is immense. She will know if a specific street is worth living on or not without even going there.
3. She is friendly, understanding, available, driven to help you, and on your side (you will feel like you are her only client)
4. Patty is also brutally honest about the homes that you view–if she doesn’t like it, she will say so and explain why (“This is an awful floor plan”). It is great having someone like that viewing the home with you.
To end this review, I would just like to say that if you are looking for an agent to help you find a home in the Bay Area, look no further! Patty is the agent you want! You will not be disappointed!

We had the pleasure of working with Patty to buy a home in Oakland. We met at an open house, where we ended up talking for a while about our home search, and she followed up. Patty took a lot of time to find out what we liked and didn’t like about homes. From the beginning, we told her we weren’t looking to buy right away, and she had no problem sending us listings, going over open houses, and calling to see if we needed more guidance on neighborhoods.
Coming from San Francisco, we weren’t sure what neighborhood was right for us. Since she is also a Realtor in San Francisco, she is really good at comparing areas of San Francisco to the East Bay. She guided us to areas she knew we’d like. When our search got more serious, Patty spent time every week to find exactly the types of homes we were looking for. The closing process was unconventional, as we were out of the country on a previously planned vacation. All of the things listed above helped us find our dream home, but what I really loved about Patty was her point of view on real estate. She talks about the “modicum of charm” and knows which houses will withstand a down market. Patty is the best; I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a home.

I did not pay a cent more than I had to. I really got the deal of the century!
After viewing a few properties with her, she showed me one that had everything on my wish list AND was within my budget. She was able to get me a viewing before the open house, and I knew this was the one. Well, it seemed it was also the one for many other people. After the open house, we found ourselves in the unfortunate situation of multiple offers. Well, let me tell you, Patty is a pro! She put together an offer package that was so tight from the offer to the terms that in the end I got the property (and that was after multiple counters!)
And, on top of it all, I did not pay a cent more than I had to. I really got the deal of the century! I owe it all to the professionalism, experience, and business acumen of this agent. It was worth giving up the few thousand dollars I would have saved on closing costs to find a Realtor who really had my best interests in mind and helped me make the best decision on the biggest investment of my life.
